Holy Mackerel !
I had a Whale of a night at the Pickled Herring. The place was packed like a can of Sardines and all my Groupers were there.
OK...... I'll stop now!
Seriously, the Pickled Herring in Northeast, MD is a great new venue with a very cool, relaxed atomosphere. Blues and jazz is the main musical theme. My first reaction when I walked in was that of being in the heart to New Orleans. A great job decorating. The crowd, on Friday night, was absolutely outstanding. These people came to here some music and they were not afraid to show there appreciation..... A musicians dream. I had a wonderful time.
I want to thank all my friends who came out, making my debut a success. Also thank you to Rick Patchel for sitting in with his harmonica. I will be back at the Pickled Herring this Saturday night from 8pm to Midnight. Come check it out. It is a very different experience from the typical bar scene and I know you'll love it.
Saturday night I was back at the Wellwood in Charlestown, MD. Once again it was another great night. Larry and his staff always do a fine job making you feel welcome. And thanks to the support of the crowd, I was asked to extend my playing time an extra hour for the second week in a row. You guys (and gals) are awesome. Thank you.
I have to apologize for not having any pictures of the excitement at the Wellwood this weekend. The battery in my camera died.
